Oak Ridge R6 Family and Consumer Science Teacher

This is my 18th year teaching at Oak Ridge School. Many of my years have been spent teaching science (6th-9th) and 4th grade. However, this is my second year teaching Family and Consumer Science. It is wonderful to see students learn life skills and still incorporate some science (nutrition and Health). I received my Bachelor's Degree from Southeast Missouri State University in Elementary with Early Childhood in 2005 and my Master's Degree from Missouri State University in Literacy in 2017. I am also certified to teach 5th-9th Science and Family and Consumer Sciences. I also have an Associate's Degree in Secretarial Studies. I have 2 children and 3 grandchildren and have lived in this area 25 years. I continue to look forward to new experiences with my classes, as each day brings new eye-opening conversations and challenges. I always have and continue to enjoy our students, school, and community!!
