General Information

The Oak Ridge School District offers Early Childhood for ages 3-5 (students turning 5 before August 1 will be in Kindergarten. In the case of bad weather the schedule for Early Childhood follows the district schedule.

Hours of Operation

The hours of operation for preschool are 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday. We know the importance of school for your child; therefore no child will be admitted after 8:30 a.m., unless there are special circumstances, such as a doctor’s appointment. Please limit your child’s attendance to no more than 10 hours a day. Late pick up fees apply after 4:30 p.m.

Fees (Subject to Change)

The center does work with the Division of Family Services, as well as having a sliding fee. The scale is based on family income size. There is a $25 enrollment fee per year for all participants.

* In order to qualify for free/reduced rate you must fill out and meet eligibility requirements for free/reduced meals. You will be responsible for all payments prior to the center receiving verification that you qualify for free/reduced. You will not be reimbursed for payments made prior to the center receiving verification notification of your child’s free/reduced meal status.

There is a $25 enrollment fee per year for all participants. 

Check Payments: Please make checks payable to: ORECC. On the memo line write your child’s name and the dates being paid for-this will serve as your receipt. Checks can then be placed into the payment mailbox located by the sign in/sign out clipboard. If the center receives a returned check for insufficient funds, then the fees must be taken care of prior to your child returning to the center. 


Families will also be responsible for the return check fee of $25.00

Cash Payments: Please put money in a sealed envelope with the child’s name and days paid for and place it in the payment mailbox located by the sign in/sign out clipboard. Payments can also be dropped off at the elementary office.
