I just wanted to send out a reminder about our athletic parent meeting tonight in the HS gym, starting at 6pm. We will meet the coaches, meet the new principal, and discuss important extracurricular changes that will take place this year at Oak Ridge. I hope to see you all there.

If your student will be new to the district, please call 573-266-3218 to request the registration link to be sent to you. We are here to help you, please contact us for support.
Oak Ridge JH/HS has updated the cell phone policy for the 2023-2024 school year. The attached form is an outline of the policy and is what the expectation will be for students during the school year. Thank you for your support in this matter!

Monday 8/14: Cheer camp 8am-4pm.
Please make sure we have a current physical on file. If you were due for one this year, you can turn it into your coach the first day of practice. You will not be allowed to participate with practice until a current physical is on file.

Three days of MSBA's School Safety Academy have come to an end in Missouri's Capital. So excited for the great things to come for Oak Ridge.
Sheriff Jason Klaus with Perry County Sheriff's Department presented at MSBA's School Safety Academy where Mrs. Deal is working on receiving School Safety Specialist certification. 3 days of training to keep Missouri students safe.

Correction date on the athletic parent meeting. We will meet with parents for both JH and HS athletics on Monday, August 7th at 6pm in the HS gym. Sorry for the mix up with dates. I will send out more reminders as the date gets closer.
Mr. Friese and the World Travelers are enjoying their time abroad in London, France, and Belgium and was nice enough to send some pictures of this great experience with some of our students.

July 31-Aug 6: Dead Week. No sports activities.
Aug 3: Athletic Parent Meeting, 6pm HS Gym
Aug 7: First Day of HS fall sports practices, TBA. This includes HSXC and HSVB.
Aug 14: First Day of JHGB practice, TBA.
Aug 14-18: JH Cheer Camp
Aug 23: First Day of JHXC practice, 3:30-4:30pm
Aug 28: JH Cheer practices, 3:30-TBA
Sept 5: First Day of JHBB practice, 3:30-TBApm
Also, just a reminder that all athletes must have a current physical on file before they can participate with any practices, this includes marching band. MSHSAA has also released a new physical form that will need to be used starting this year. I have attached a link to get for the new form if you need a physical this year. Please turn the form in to either your head coach the first day of practice or you can turn them into the HS office. If you have any questions about this, please let me know.

Another big congratulations to 2023 Graduates Camren Volz and Erin Urhahn for being selected to the 2023 All CBJ Team. We are so proud of you. We have such amazing student athletes at Oak Ridge!
The class of 2025 is doing a car wash today until 3pm at Jackson Tire Center for $10. If you need your car washed, stop by and see them.
